Does anyone know whether I have to submit a PCC if I did not leave Canada for more than 6 consecutive months since I turned 18? I was not required to submit a PCC under the old CEC. Does it apply to EE?

Thank you!

Sorry for creating this silly thread. I checked the CIC website again and found the answer under the Invitation to Apply page.

Police certificates

You will need to get police certificates for you and each of your family members who are over 18. You must get one from each country or territory where you have lived for six or more consecutive months since the age of 18.

Hope it helps others who are in the same boat with me.

I was in the same boat. I uploaded a letter of explanation and quoted the links to the CIC website.

1, Don't be sorry, but you should have done a little more searching as to what CIC says; http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/north-america/canada.asp

2, Notice the answer, which is NO. If CIC wants a RCMP fingerprint check, they will request it.
