For those who were unable to submit a PCC within the 60 days deadline after getting an ITA and provided an explanation letter. Will IRCC request for it eventually as an ADR or PFL?

Or submit it only via webform once PCC arrives? This is also for non-accompanying spouse.

For context, i am separated from my non accompaying spouse. I provided a letter of explanation to IRCC upon submission of my pr application regarding details of our separation with supporting documents such as affidavit of separation, divorce filing proof and statutory declaration that I will not sponsor my ex. My mistake was probably listing myself as married rather than legally separated because by law we are still married since there is no divorce or annulment yet. We have been separated for 3 years. Ircc still asked for medical exam for my ex spouse which she agreed to cooperate recently. My concern now is the police certificate which I don't have upon initial submission.

Do you have any idea if eventually IRCC will look for it or if they just outright refuse if its missing on initial submission? Thanks

You need to add a letter of explanation why you cannot provide in time and demonstrate your efforts to get it.

And definiteoy submit it as soon as possible. IRCC won't request additionally and might reject your application as incomplete based on the discretion of an officer.

You are asked about your legal marital status. If you are not divorced legally and not in the common law relationship, you are married.

You can select legally separated if you have filed a divorce and/or haven't lived together for a long time. And you can prove that.

I have not filed divorce but not living together since 2 years I still have to apply for pr but I’m worried about marital status in pgwp and trv because I was apart since 2024 and I put married on pgwp in may 2025 and now I have to apply trv so I’m confused what should I put because my cra record all have separated marital status I want to be consistent so I don’t face any issue during pr regarding previous marital status so if any case they ask why u put married before if u living separately and now put separated during pr ?

Tell the truth, it's simple. If you are separated, select separated. But be ready to prove it. File the divorce now, do something about it.

Yes but If we put separated I think they need divorce proof or certificate but I put married that time on pgwp because I didn’t have legal documents to prove separation so I’ll put separated during pr and apply divorce then is that ok ?

It will suffice to have a divorce application or court order), or a sworn affidavit of separation.
