I just recently got 2 emails from CIC requesting my family's Police Check (PCC). One email asking for my wife and mine, and a second email asking for my son, who is 20 now.
I was surprised to get the request for PCC from my home-country for my son as he has been living in Mexico since last year and I did not include him in the request for Permanent Residency (did not even pay the fee for his application), I only mentioned him as part of my family.
Is it normal that CIC asks for PCC from home-country for an adult son that will not be accompanying us in Canada? And if that is the case, what can I do in case he cannot get the PCC on time before the 60 day window that CIC gave us all expires?
