When completing the receipt of fee payment after printing it from the internet, (paid with credit card) to include with my application there is a box labeled "client id number"

Is this to be filled in by CIC, or should I know my client id already?,, If I should know this number,, where can I find it?

I am hoping this will be my last question on this forum as I am ready to mail the application once this issue is resolved. This site has been extremely helpful while assembling my application,, thank you to all who have helped me along the way.

All the best,,

CIC gives you a client number when they start processing your application. I didn't receive my client number until my husband received a letter saying he was approved as a sponsor. We applied outside canada spousal. It took a little over a month for him to receive this approval from the time we sent the application in.

So to clarify - this client ID on the receipt should be left blank? I am the sponsor and do not have a number at this stage.. But it doesn't say anywhere that it is acceptable to be left blank.. Should i put N/A, or blank?

Also it keeps talking about Copy 2. Does that mean include 2 copies in the submission of the receipt? I am fluent in english (born and raised in Canada), and it is not clear to me if this is a verb or a noun.

Thanks

Leave it blank. 2 copies meaning is for you to send 1 and keep 1 for your record :)

yeah it's not the best laid out...
i wasnt able to fill in the client id - so left it blank. i printed w copies (from the pDF) and sent one - filled it in by hand.

Thanks for your help ;D

In my case I already have a UCI number given to me from previous TRV I applied for do I need to use same number for the receipt or just leave it blank? thanks
