I had sent my application form for permanent residence to Canada in the last week of April. I tracked my mail and it was delivered on the 28 April. The worrying thing is that they still have not charged my credit card for it whereas from experience, I know they take the money very fast as soon as they receive the forms.
Can anyone comment if this is unusual please?

I paid my online when I fill in those application, then sent a copy of the receipt together with the paper application.

If someone pays online hence the money is taken quicker, does it mean the application is put in front of the queue?

No.

You just run into less risk in case your card is stolen before CIC takes payment or insufficient credit or any type of payment error.

Well is not fast as you think, once they recieve the application, it will stil be in que, its when the open it, its then they will they will charge it, well i dont no your applicatoion, but its usually few weeks to your AOR so relax, natin to worry about

Thanks for all the replies.

After receiving the application it took them more than a month to take the money. I was just expecting that this would happen immediately.
