I don't have US visa. Would it be risky that I go to the border and get a rejection by US officer? Will it affect my future entrance to the US?

I don't think flagpoling affects future US visa applications, but I'm not a 100% sure.

That's true :). Just wondering, do you get a email when the status changes to approved on your my cic account?

Ok thanks! I will do the safer way to book an inland interview. We are CEC inland so should not be a problem to wait for another few months:)
 
Sorry for the triple message but I had a small question, on the IRCC website, there's an expiry date on the "document" of 2018 February. What is that the expiry date of exactly?
