Hey y'all,

This thread is for everyone who will be sending their passports to and/or receiving it back from Ottawa in June. Good luck on the rest of the process! :)

Anyone else sent their docs from the US. I'd like to know which mail services were used to send docs, and receive COPR...

I used UPS to send the passports. I chose a big bubble mailer (12 x 14 I think?). I used a slightly smaller one (8 x 11 maybe?) as the pre-paid envelope. It cost me ~$20 to send it to Canada, and ~$10 for the pre-paid return envelope.

I sent it on Friday 05/26 afternoon, it was received on Wednesday, 05/31. I have been tracking my return mailer and there has not been any activity so far. Hope this helps.

I just logged in to my CIC account and it shows that COPR has been generated. I don't know when this happened. The passports should be back in mail soon!

Thanks Sarah, you sending it from the US? Did you send the actual passports or just the photocopies?

The UK is a visa exempt country - this means I only need to send a photocopy of my passport. Correct?

Well well, look who finally got PR. Congrats, I knew it was coming for you soon, I wonder if Chandra got his yet? That's what my PPR says, US is visa exempt as well so I'll just be submitting the photocopies.

UPS took care of all that. I just had to declare what I was sending, that's all.

Thanks, I went ahead and used UPS as well for return service. I'm a bit worried as I could only select 10 days out maximum for return service, so we'll see what happens. I used USPS to ship to Ottawa today, looks like it won't even arrive there for a week!
