Thank you JuCW. I'll probably remove my permit from the passport when I send it in.

I sent my permits along with the passport though - I've always stapled them in
I don't think it matters that much but I just wanted to play safe - proving that I still have a valid status since my PGWP just expired recently so I attached my BOWP.

I would say wait till tomorrow and if you have not heard anything by then, you should call them next week!
Also, keep checking your email as sometimes they ask for new photos if the one provided didn't meet their specifications!
