Hi I am in SK, - 6, we have our own time zone... 1 hour earlier than Ottawa

I have a dilemma here need your help guys. Our passports are valid until early 2019, but last december we decided to renew our passports on an embassy roadshow. It takes 2-3 months before they send a new one, and until then the old passport is still valid. Now last feb 22 we recieve ppr and sent passport last monday and receieved in ottawa yesterday. Now when I arrive home, i saw in our mailbox a notice from canada post to pick up passport since no one is home, I’m sure it’s our new passport! Now i don’t know if I should call cic and send our new passports or just wait for them to send back our old passports which is valid still by right! Need advice here

passport officer takes 1 day two days... btr call right away in morning... pr application ...call.. nd tell ur situation they will cl right officer and .. guide u... if i think its ok.. its still valid so at boarder landing tell thm

When i tried to check my return envelope it says item processwd on 28 February at 7:08 pm. What should I conclude that as?

It means the envelope was received by Canada Post and it started the process... Probably today you will see it in transit... Friday or Monday you should have passports back. Congrats!

You need to take a picture of the return envelop before you put it in the big envelop. So that you can track the return package.

In my case Canada post employee peel off the both tracking id and gave it to me and keep it with me to track both the envelope... they said there is still my name and address on the return envelope as well and wont be a problem to send to me from cic ? any one have the same experience?

My passport received on Feb 23rd. Yesterday approved in my CIC and counterfoil is there too. I don't have tracking number for the return envelope. So I don't know how I can track the return envelope...

Hopefully before Friday I will get the passport by hand

in my case, she didn't peel off the anything from the return envelop. i bought a return envelop and put it in the big envelop. that's it.
i took a picture of the return envelop because i want to track the return envelop on canada post website

They only deliver on weekdays. usually they will activated return tracker at around 7pm ottawa time. and it takes about 2 days to arrive to your house. Canada post didn't ring my door bell, they just put it in my community mail box and i got an email saying that my parcel was delivered.

depends where you are. mine wasn't activated until Friday Feb 23 at 7pm so i got it on Monday
@Flyhigher this guy's return tracker was activated on Thursday Feb 22 at 7pm and he got his passport on Feb 23 in the morning.
We are both in Alberta.
