Passports to CIC Ottawa: March 2017

What is your Nationality?

I am of Yemeni Nationality.

PP sent Mar 21
PP recd at Ottawa Mar 23

Now waiting for status change on CIC site. And will then wait a day before emailing them for tracking number.

Guys who received their PP back, is there any communication from CIC once it is approved and sent out? As in to let us know it is sent out? (reason I ask is I forgot to note down tracking no of return envelope)

There is no communication when they send the passport. Although it's safe to assume that they send out the passport within 24 hours of your application status changing to Approved on MyCIC.

For me I noticed that my application was approved around noon and my tracker was activated 8 hours later.

Right, so when the status changed to approved for you - on Mar 20 per your earlier post, did you receive an email like we got for PPR? or manually check CIC account?

I personally happened to check my account and noticed it was approved. With that being said I received an email 24 hours later saying that my application has been updated. There is no message in MyCIC saying that your application is approved.

I think you need to chill a little bit . I'm in the exact same boat as you. I didn't get the tracking number for my return envelope and the PP arrived Ottawa today. So it's best to assume that our applications will be approved tomorrow and by Tuesday at the latest, we will have them back . You can worry after Tuesday.

Passport Received: Expecting it today based on tracker information

I had to call IRCC Ottawa yesterday to confirm the status of my passport and the call center agent told me it was sent out on Monday, March 20th, same day as the approval. So I guess it is based on the pick up by Canada post and how IRCC gives out the "ready to post' envelopes.

Congratulations to us all and all the best to those who are still waiting....It will rain by God's grace.

Application approved: 21st March
Return tracker activated: 21st March
Passport received: Today, 22nd March
PR Landing: 22nd March @ Rainbow Bridge, Niagara Falls
