I don't have tracking so I don't know when my passport arrived :( I saw other people on this forum got their stamps in 13-14days.. so I'm still hoping I get lucky
Well normal post takes 3,4 days for shipment. They must have got your passport on 12 or 13 October unless you sent your passport on the wrong address.

How many days after your passport was delivered to them did you call to ask about the status? I am trying to figure out why don't they know if my passport is there or not

Well I never called them to ask whether they have received my passport or not. According to the tracking no, they received my passport on 6 October. I just called to ask about processing time and they said 2 weeks.

Maybe that's why yours looks delayed. Just because it was delivered it doesn't mean it was recieved. It looks like they have a sorting facility or something and from there it reaches some other office. So received means when the passport is out of the sorting facility. Looks like there is a 2 days gap between delivered and received .

Ahh ok... But one of the guy also sent his passport on 4 october and his passport was received on 6 october. His tracking system is now active. And i guess it's always better to use private courier.

I really wonder how they do business there... it's probably entirely possible for a passport to be delayed just because it fell out of a cart on its way to a printing room....

Yeah no one can tell. but it's frustating. I had applied for my trv on 11 august and still waiting.

A friend of mine applied last month and got the passport back in a week after it was delivered at Ottawa. So maybe its different for different cases.

I sent my passport on Oct 6, called them today (Oct 19) and they said they don't even know if my passport was received is that normal? It should have arrived there Oct 14 latest. They also said it takes 3 weeks to stamp the visa once the passport is recieved. I have a flight scheduled Nov 4th and they said I probably won't make it . Anyone sent their passports around the same time?
I sent mine on 29 Sep. Arrived in Ottawa on 2 Oct. they received it on 5 Oct.

Was it beginning of the month? I think they just have unstable flow of applications - sometimes they have too much and it causes delays
