Passport Submission at Canadian Embassy Abu Dhabi

Please follow these guidelines when applying for a Driver’s License Validation.
1) Obtain a validation letter/experience letter from the same Traffic Department in the United Arab Emirates that issued the driver’s license originally.
(for example, if the license was issued in Abu Dhabi, the validation letter must be obtained from the Abu Dhabi Traffic Department).
2) Submit the original validation/experience letter, along with the original valid driver’s license and the processing fee to the United Arab Emirates Embassy in Ottawa for attestation.

Many Thanks for the info - it may be a silly question but as I checked, they will include the fines/black points as well, in the letter - though I have only 2 fines in 5 years i.e red light and a minor accident. Will this affect getting licence in canada?

we received our visa but on my wife's visa and COPR the birthdate and place of birth are wrong. we already informed London Visa office but no replies until now.

is it safe to travel now and inform port of entry about the errors?

Hi same situation here, I have submitted the passports personally on 30th November and no news till now. I have to travel on 15th December and even send email to abu dhabi office but no revert. praying hard to finish it fast.

I think you cannot send across the country, I know someone recently just taken visit visa to come and submit the passport personally. he requested at the counter saying I have just traveled for stamping and received the passport the next day.

as per my observation some people getting it within a week or otherwise within 35-40 days. I have submitted on 30th November and still waiting.

if you are worried, take it back to abu dhabi office.
they will fix it for you

Hello everyone.we submitted my husband's passport for visa stamping on 22 nov and havnt received it til nw. We r planning to visit abu dhabi embassy to ask them about it.
