Passport Submission at Canadian Embassy Abu Dhabi

I Have submitted mine in person. They gave me option either to get it back through courier or in person. In second case, they will call to inform that passports are ready, you can collect.

Reached embassy on 21st June'15 via courier (fee AED 140/-)
Return notification: 18th July '15 (call from Aramex on 27th calendar day - return service fee AED 30/-)
Time taken: 19 working days (excludes weekends/holidays)

Dear Friends,
I got PPR today and they asked me to submit it to New Delhi. As I am working in Dubai I want get the visa stamped here in Abudhabi and my wife and child will submit it in India. Can i go directly to VFS Dubai and submit it or do I need to get approval from NDVO or WVO before that? Anyone has idea about that?

I'm happy to inform that I got back my passport and COPR with the visa today by courier!
Few points i would like to highlight:

1. My visa office was New Delhi and the PPR instructed me to submit in NewDelhi.
2. However, since I'm staying in Dubai, I went to the VFS office in Burjuman mall directly and submitted my passport alongwith my husband's passport there.
3. I did not take any prior approval from either CIC or NDVO.
4. Passports submitted on 14th June, received back with visa on 22nd July.

I submitted my passport at VFS Dubai (Burjuman Mall) on 14th June. The online status still shows as "your application is being processed at Canada Visa Office, Abu Dhabi". It has been 25 working days so far.
I guess the visa office has gone for Eid holidays. Hopefully there should be some update after Eid.

Is the Photo size requirement for Visa is the same as the Application requirement? is it mentioning in the PPR?

Website showing size of both are 45mm x35mm but Face Height of 25mm to 30mm for Application, 31mm to 36mm for Visa application.

Ur msg was such a releif to me, am as the same case as urs, I was asked to submit my pp in newdelhi but submitted in burjuman vfs office, submitted on the 28th till date no update other then pp is under process at abudhabi embassy
Now after reading ur msg I got some confidence that I should get mine with in a week or so..

Mine is the same situation as Sneha'. I am wrkng in kuwait. I just walked into vfs global office n they took my PP n said it wud b stamped at Canada AUH embassy. I got my visa stamped PP yday.

Hi. Thanks for ur wishes...actually m living in abu dhabi and embassy is near me..dats y i prefer to submit pp in person..they give u an aramex slip at that time which u have to fill and return back..bt u can use aramex also for sending it..follow the option written in ur letter

you can send it to one of the both
the only advantage of VFS that when the passports received at VFS office you will have a tracking number so you can track your passports

I have plans to visit by this November for 10 days, to finish the landing formalities,
