Passport Submission at Canadian Embassy Abu Dhabi

Hi Everyone.
They wanted me to cancel my UAE visa , and I must exit Dec 18th!
are you guys in a same boat? do u all have to leave UAE?!

Do you think it is a good idea if I actually go to the embassy!

Strange..why do you have to cancel any idea? And did you receive your passport? And how did they contact you by email?

I am the sponsor, living in Dubai. In order to issue my husband's visa they said u have to cancel ur UAE residency! Yes they sent an email to my husband(Applicant).

Are you sponsoring your husband for a PR visa? I am not sure if the embassy allows walk-in queries, however I recommend sending an email reply to the visa officer who sent an e-mail to your husband for verification.

When did your passport reach the embassy? Mine was 24th November.

They received ours last 23 nov 2014. They sent it after 10 working days

well we sent ours on the 1st of november and was recieved on the 3rd on november over 5 weeks , yet no updtaes !! started to get worried.

and now it seems that the office will be colsed for 4 days starting Dec 11th as announced on their website.

i hope that doesn't effect any of our applications.

Does the visa stamping take place at London office I was thinking Abu Dhabi?

rinleena, it depends on the instructions you received from london vo. ours it was clearly specified that we need to send it to abudhabi vo, so we did. step by step instructions are there as well.

yes our passports were sent to Abu Dhabi , but our main office is London. if there's any communications that need to be done between the 2 offices might cause further delays.

anyone been waiting for more than 5 weeks ?
