Passport Submission at Canadian Embassy Abu Dhabi

no actually i sent on August 17 so still 15 days remaining to worry ;D please must inform when you receive your passport i check your post everyday whether you receive passport or not

Guys are you all FSW 2014 applicants? Do you think the wait is long because your files were processed at London Visa Office? Would Express Entry applicants be faster to process for stamping?

Josal83 you will receive in the letter 3 suggested ways of pp submission, only Aramex is being used as a courier, I was also using DHL all the time but I switched to Aramex for this only

You don't really need to worry, even if your visa expires, make sure apply for cancellation before the expiry date and once its cancelled, you would have 30 days grace period to be in UAE. So until that am sure you will get back your passport and will be all good to fly without paying any penalties!

You should be getting your passport in this week for sure! Just hold on!

Hi, worries ended..... VOH received last Sept 02 thru VFS. so it was more than 30 days. for all those who r still waiting have patience guys. God bless to us.


oh, is there any required orientation to attend here in Dubai before heading to Canada? or just COPR and PP w/ affixed vsa is more than enuf?.

By the grace of almighty i just received our passports with the visa stamping and COPR from Auh CHC after precisely 25 days from the date of submission.

I submitted my application to Canadian Embassy UAE (for immigration visa stamping) by Aramex (from Kuwait) on 05 August 2015 (reached on 06 August 2015) and it has now been more than a month .

I just wanted to inquire on how to contact them to check what is the status of my application. (the website says to contact them through the email form on their website).

The aramex delivery status said AUH muroor and delivered to SS.

Can anyone help and share their experience in this regard.

Hi L Zaidi, I also have my pp submitted from Kuwait almost the same time August 2, received August 4th. No activity on the return airway bill tracker till now either ! Apparently the embassy is overloaded with student/tourist and immigration visas from all neighboring countries and it's taking 4 weeks on average. I hope we will receive back our passports by this week. I'm counting on it since I have a flight next Friday !

Hello everyone.... I am in big dilemma. We received passport request 2 days back from CIC. However, I am currently in singapore and family is back in Abu Dhabi. I need to be here for the next 2 months at least. Also as my wife was pregnant we got her medicals done in mid-august but my medicals were done last year in dec when we got the first medical request.

I don't know what to do....as I can't send my passport from singapore for stamping and be her without a passport and I don't want to delay the process as the medical expiry is worrying me.

Is it possible that CIC will ask for another medical at the time of stamping. Also can I get my passport stamped in Singapore while my family does it in Abu Dhabi. Pls advice.

You can submit your Passport at Singapore Canada embassy , and your family can submit it in Abu Dhabi , if your Medical is expiring on December thus ur visa would be expiring on the same period of time , i would suggest to undergo anther medical and ask for extension

No not true, you can use any courier , the only way to return your passport is Armex though , but for sending you can use any

Visa stamping has nothing to do with who is processing your file , the wait mainly (in my opinion ) is due to the heavy load of student visa, who would be given priority

Back in June under Express Entry someone was stamped in under 7 days!

Do you think this is because they were not busy with student visas or the wait time differs if you are a 2014 applicant or an Express Entry applicant?

Finally my passport is with ARAMEX, I hope to receive it by today. it took exactly 36 days from the day I submitted it on 3rd of August. Good luck for you all.
