I called CIC today and agent told me that its taking longer than usual because of the huge backlog. CIC is clearing files in bulks and this will cause delay. She said normal time was 1 week but its 2-3 weeks now. This is all because of the audit on PNP files. Its repercussions will continue for months from now......

That might be true. However, they speeded up the entire processing phase, the most time consuming steps, and now lagging behind the very final stage, which is issuing visa and COPR? All these government bureaucracy are always unpredictable. We can hope that it would go fast and smooth.

I sent my passport copy and photos last saturday, due to the long weekend it didnt get to ottawa until thursday, and today I checked the return tracker and it says it is processed so I guess it will be shipping out tomorrow!

My return tracker also got activated just now (or says "processed"). The passport copies and stuff reached CIC on the 21st. Hopefully I'll get the COPR back on Thursday so that I can go do my landing before the weekend!

any one got back passport recently, could you share the expiry date of your immigrant visa... i have a upcoming tour out of country in july.. wanted to land when coming back.. thanks for your generous help!!
