Greetings !

Maybe somebody can shed some light ;

Applied for spousal sponsorship :July 28 2011
Sponsor application approved : November 2011
Application got to Guatemala Embassy : Dec 2011
Request for permanet residence fee alongside birth certificate, RCMP fingerprint report(husband previously in canada) : Feb 2012
Mailed in : March 2012
June 2012 : Got asked for passport, new medical exam , readmission to canada fee (he was previously deported)
Got mailed in: July 2012


Can anyone shed some light on how maybe how long is left we have been dealing with this for the last 12 month and it can get a bit overwhelming

I think it's a difficult question to answer! the sponsorship part is quite "standard" so more or less everybody gets approved in the same time, the second part from the VO is more depending on your case, and your VO, so i don't think anybody can tell you.

But you can try asking for people's experience in teh Guatemala thread, they might have more insight about that...
