Passport request- Minimum 12 months validity?

Hi,

My husband got his PPR today but he only has 10 months validity left in it.

Is it possible to send this passport to the VO so they can do what he needs? How did I miss this?

On a sidenote, he is from Cameroon and we are currently in Thailand, how can we do this quickly?

Unfortunately, if the VO said 12 months validity, that's what you need to give them. Can he not contact the Cameroonian consulate in Thailand? I know VOs ask for 6 months validity, but I guess every VO is different.

Try replying to the email and asking if they will allow 10 month. Explain your situation. Good luck.

I did just that. Fingers crossed. There's no consulate or embassy to Cameroon in Thailand. The closest one is China,(Which has its own hurdles) and I hear it takes a month.

I hope they respond quickly.
