Passport request inquiry

Hi Guys,

Just checking if anybody here in the forum that have an experience that the passport was taken by the immigration and still got refused?I know in the Philippines it is automatic that they are taking the passport during the application but from where I am I think the same in UAE, they would request it if they needed it.

I went to the High Commission here in the country I am at to do a personal follow up. I did a follow via email 4 weeks ago and was instructed to follow up again after 4 weeks that's why I went there personally. I was told that the VO haven't decided yet with regards to my application but I was asked if I don't have travel plans, I might as well leave my passport so that they will just call me when it is ready for collection in a week or 2 weeks time.

Sorry if you might me in a hurry but I have a lot of issues with regards to my house rental, job and projects on which I can't fully decide because of this pending application.And I'm a bit worried too :'(

To some people, Friday the 13th is a day that they are thinking that won't give them as much luck.... BUT not for us....

We got out Visa's yesterday!! TFW for me, SWOP for my wife and TRV for my 2 year old daughter.

LMO application started in late October 2011.
Got the positive LMO in February 13, 2012
Applied the visa in Feb. 29, 2012
Released passports with Visa- Yesteerday , April (Friday) 13, 2012.

Just like what my employer told one day while the application is on process... Patience is something that you should have a lot of when waiting for visa as the outcome is something that is beyond your control.
