Also try to follow-up with the parcel company you used. In my case, I used a return envelope, somehow someone there was confused and didn't process the return until I put a call through

Hi there, finally after 8weeks and multiple calls and web forms my passport is dispatch from CPC Ottawa. However, there is no update in my gc key!
It doesn’t show anything about counterfoil and I haven’t received approval letter yet. When did you get your approval letter and did your gc key got updated?

I'm not sure what you mean by approval letter, but I got a "letter of introduction" along with my returned passport which I showed the officers at the port of entry

Sorry, that’s what I meant. I guess I should get mine with the passport as well.
