Passport Request for Spousal Sponsorship from Iran

Hey.
Wondering if anyone on the forums might have experience in this that may help me understand the process. I am sponsoring my wife from Iran. We have NOT Recieved a passport request yet however I want to understand how it works for getting the visa stamped for Iranians. As there is no VO in Iran. Her application is at the Ankara VO. I assume Iranians cannot use the courier service as no couriers deliver between turkey and Iran. So is there an in person submission process as the vfs website says no in person submissions. And if yes there is an in person submission process how many days does it if she travels to Ankara for the submission. Anyone with knowledge or experience with this specifically for Iranians I would appreciate an explanation. Thanks

Due to COVID, you will not be able to Courier directly to Ankara VO. It will have to go to the closest VAC. ANd they will deal with VO and you deal with the VAC for passport submissions/pickup/courier back to you.

Once you get the PPR from VO, it will tell you to sumbit to "any of the following VAC's". Wait for that and it will tell you where to send it.

Some VAC's to offer in-person submissions. But you have to request an appointment from them via email first.

hi thanks for the response. The issue is that courier services are limited in Iran due to sanctions. Hence my question was more related to how people have gone around this issue. My wife not be able to simply courier to a VAC.

Iran is not allowing people to courier to VAC's?

That really sucks...

Alternative to Courier is you can request an appointment to drop off passport via VAC in person. But you need to schedule appointment ahead of time

vac is not allowing in person drop off for passport due to Covid Hence my dilemma

They say that, but if you contact them, they might allow you. My VAC had same thing on their website, No in person drop off, courier only. But i emailed them, and they let me schedule an appointment for in-person
