My work permit is expiring on October 1st week and my passport is expiring next year May 2021.
I have submitted passport to BLS Canada for renewal but it looks like it will take more than 2 months to process it due to COVID.
I needed my renewed passport to request for the extension of my work permit since otherwise the validity of my extended work permit would only be till May instead of 2 years.
Is it vital to give the information of the valid passport while applying for work permit extension( in the forms) or can I send a webform to the immigration office with the details of my new passport once it arrives and while Visa stamping, I will get the work permit for 2 years as is the standard?
Is there any way to expedite my passport renewal process ? I couldn’t apply for Tatkaal since that is only for walk-in and BLS wouldn’t accept it.
Any leads would be highly appreciated.
