Passport question EE

Hello All,
I have been invited to apply for PR 4 weeks ago and I have submitted all documents 2 days ago.

I understand that the rest of the process for experience class will take approximately 4 to 6 months.

The question:
My partner’s passport expires in June 2020.
If we get COPR in January / February it means that her passport will expire within 6 months.
Is this OK?

In the CIC website, it speaks about the validity of the passport and how it should be valid for at least 6 months when you apply.

I just want to make sure that it needs to be valid for 6 months for when you apply for PR (which we have already done 2 days ago) and not when you receive the COPR.

6 months at the time of applying.

If you receive CoPR in February, the passport is still valid for 4 more months. The one time entry visa will be valid upto one year from your medical test date, or the validity of the passport, whichever is earlier. You'll have upto visa validity to land in Canada. Once there, you can apply passport renewal from Indian Embassy.
