If I mail or courier my passport application then what will be the place of issue on passport? Will it be Gatineau?
Because they gave Gatineau address to mail/courier.
Thanks

Most probably they might consider your home town or passport office closest to your home as the place of issue.

No, it doesn't matter. I just wanted to know if our application will be transferred to local office or no.

Thanks a lot

All Passports are listed as "Gatineau" for place of issue, unless you are a Canadian overseas renewing through an embassy.

No; if you apply in person it will be the name of office where you applied

My spouse applied in person at the Victoria Passport Office and the passport states Gatineau.

Hows that possible? My friends PP states Mississauuga

?????? But it definitely states Gatineau. He took his application into the Passport office in Victoria (a full service office) and then collected it from the same office.

I applied via mail (from Mississauga) and the place of issue stated in my passport is Gatineau. They don't transfer passport applications to a local office if you mail your application to Gatineau.

And even if they did, does it really matter? The maximum processing times guaranteed are stated clearly based the method or submission and the fee you paid. No reason to be worried about where they actually issue the passport, or?

Did he do expedited processing or not?
