Passport not updated with spouse name. ITA received.

Received ITA recently. Planning to go to NewYork Indian consulate for PCC for both me and my spouse.

We haven’t got our passports renewed with spouse names, although we have a valid Marriage certificate. Will this hamper our efforts to obtain PCC? Or, are we good to go? The Cox & Kong’s passport website states that it is optional to get the spouse name updated on Indian Passport. Please provide me with an official URL which states about this thing.

I don't think it must be an issue... i still don't have my spouse name on PP and received the PCC...
