Kabayan in UAE..

Hi guys i already have my job offer and LMO, i gathered all the required documents, my LMO will expire on october and my passport is on November. I already renew my passport las june10 and it will be released on 3rd week of august. I was just wondering if i can still submit my aplication with my old passport which is about to expire? Will they accept it or shall i wait for the new one to be released?

Consulate/dfa really takes time to process the renewal of passport. Is there any way to expedite it?

Hi Glutten,

They will accept your old passport BUT they will base the expiration of your work permit on your passport's expiration. I suggest you wait for your renewed passport first before submitting your application.

Just wait for your new passport to arrive. CIC must receive your application before the expiration of the LMO so if the LMO expire Oct and your passport arrives August, you'd be able to send the application package with time to spare. Just gather all the necessary documents that you have to attach. Check that everything is there. All the best on your app.

- my employer is very eager to have his staff asap, he told me that i just have to make an appeal or letter to VIO that my new passport is on the process of renewal and ill send it as soon as it will be released.

One more thing, Ramadan is coming this august, will it cause delay on my visa processing and release of passport?

- my mother is the Phils and she did renew my nBI (w/out my appeance& thumb mark) bec she has contacts there, will it make a difference with the that others are getting here in UAE? (mine is also valid for travel abroad)

I have a friend before same your case...malapit na mag-expire ang passport nya. What she did is, pinasa nya yun copy lang ng old passport tapos nag-attached sya ng letter na to follow yun new passport as soon as ma-release. God's grace, andun na din sya sa Canada.

try to go to philippine embassy near you see if they can extend your passport validity for two years, i met a pinay in toronto she got 2 yrs extension of her PP from May 15 2011 to May 14 2013. With expiration Jan 2012...We knew how slow the process of renewal PP. Try it nothing to lose.

I cant make an extension sabi nla, coz there are some countries who don't accept non-machine readable PP (green passport). And besides its in the procress of renewal aready.

Attaching a letter is a good idea, ill try it if my employer coudn't wait for my PP to be released..

Hi I am about to submit my application to CIC Abu Dhabi, but i realised by passport is expiring on 2013 August 27. My appointment with Philippine consulate is set on the 3rd week sept. I am worried that it might affect my application.

Please could you advise what is the best thing to do?

Hi,

Just send the copy of bio-date page of your passport and copy of your working visa in UAE that stamped in your passport. Make a cover letter explaining why you can't include the original copy of your passport in your applications. If you're visa is approve the embassy will request for your original passport for visa stamping.

Does anyone knows if there iis an option to expedite the passport renewal in Philippines Consulate, Dubai, coz they said that you have to 2 months in order tor release the new passport. so long.....
