Passport Expiry IEC - Dual Passport Holder

Hey Folks,
Due to Covid my application has been delayed but im positive i will get my POE pretty soon and thinking of flying in in August/September this year.

Problem now, my german passport (the one with which i have applied with) will be expiring in May 2022.
Of course i could apply for a new german passport before i get my POE but i was thinking....i am a dual passport holder and i was wondering if i would immigration know the details of my Australian Passport, would it be possible to issue the Visa for my Australian passport altogether?

No - not possible. It's country specific and needs to be issued against your German passport. You need to get a new German passport or otherwise you'll only receive a work permit that runs until the expiry of your German passport.
