Passport expiring

Hello Seniors,

My passport is expiring on the 1/1/2016
We have received the PP request and it said we should have minimum 6months validity on the passports.

Now that we have exactly 6month and few days left for the passport to expire..

We are submitting the passport today at Dubai VFS and it has to be transferred to abudhabi for stamping, god knows how long it would take.

when I have my visa stamped am not sure if my passport will still have the 6month validity... and will it affect us in anyway? also I heard that we cannot travel anywhere if we have only 3 months validity in the passport...as we planned to travel by the end of this year.

Can we apply for a new passport as soon as we get our visa stamped?
can someone shed some light on my confusions please...

My suggestion renew your passport and Thn submit
Reason if u read ur mail ( if u have received the same as me for PPR). It clearly mentions
Please note that permanent resident visas cannot be placed in Diplomatic, Official or Military passports.
There must be at least one blank page in each passport.
We are unable to issue a visa beyond the expiry date in your passport.

The last line says it clearly in my email that the visa will be only till the validity of the passport and not beyond that .... And generally u get the visa for 1 year from medicals (according to me)

Hi guys

Some advice from seniors much appreciated.

I have completed my + families medicas last week so I'm hoping to get passport requests within a month.

My current passport expires in March 2016, and our aim is to land in Nov 15. I've been advised to renew my passport but not sure whether there is actually a need or requirement to do so.

Your guidance would be much appreciated.

Thanks for the advise,
I had to submit my passport as I was told that I cannot expect the new one with in 2 weeks.
and I don't have enough days left to submit my passport.

I believe I will get only 5 months visa now and will have to do the landing before the end of this year.
