Passport expires in Sept'2021

Hello everyone,

I just wanted some information on this topic. I got admission for Sept'18 and my course ends in April'2020. My passport expires in Sept'2021 so will I get work permit for only 1 year or what? My course is a 2-year program.

When is the best time to renew my passport? when to comes to expiry or right after my course completion? because i was thinking that if i apply for a new passport after studies then until the passport comes i won't be having work visa.
