Passport Application Question

Hi,
We received our citizenship certificate today!! Question on the passport application, we are planning to bring our passport applications in person.

Will they need to retain the citizenship certificate while they are processing our passport application or will we able to keep it after we submit our application?

Congratulations!
At Passports Canada, they don’t keep any original documents and will return them immediately after verification. Not sure if the same applies to Service Canada applications.

At Passports Canada, they don’t keep any original documents and will return them immediately after verification. Not sure if the same applies to Service Canada applications.

Looks like service canada too returns the original certificate immediately which is one of the important advantages(apart from saving total processing time) via in-person application.

Extremely fast. It only took 3 days, oath was on 4/26, we emailed the documents within an hour of the oath finishing and received the cert. today.
