Hi All,
So I've finally become a citizen and I am looking to apply for a Canadian passport.
My name in my old passport has been reversed so all my immigration documents include Canadian citizen cert. have my name reversed. However I was looking at the passport application and it says that I can reverse my given names.
Has anyone done this recently and was it approved? What documents do you need? My Canadian driver license has my name in the correct order.
Also the last time I was on EI for maternity leave, the officer told me I need to get my name sorted out so I won't have an issue come pension time.
What documents are required to get pension? Would they only need my Canadian passport to clarify name or do I need to do a legal name change so that the Canadian certificate also has the right name order? Will this effect my COPR which will have the name in the wrong order, I do believe COPR is required for pension.
