Passport application from the US

I recently received my Canadian Certificate of Citizenship and want to apply for a passport, but I'm a bit confused about something. I live in Illinois so I went to their web site to get instructions for how to apply for a passport from the US, and one of the items it requires is:

• any valid Canadian passport or other travel document (refugee travel document or certificate of identity) issued to you

Since I have never lived in Canada, I don't have any document like this. The only Canadian document I have is my certificate. What do I use for this? I thought I might be able to use my US passport but that is asked for in a separate bullet.

Nothing. Since this is your first Canadian passport and you never had a Canadian travel document.
