Still nothing yet on my end. When would i know that they'll request an interview? Does it happen after the background check or before? I have a representative, so i can't access mycic and ecas says that the file has been processing since Sept 2016 in Paris. Any insight you guys?

This waiting "patiently" game is getting harder everyday...sigh.

It will probably take a few more months. I don't think they have had your application long enough for you to worry about anything just yet. I understand just how hard it is to be patient but we must think about the lives we will have together in Canada with our spouses/family members once this is all over. That is what keeps me going, anyway! Good luck and I hope you hear something very soon! :)

You should request your GCMS notes if you haven't already. It would say in there if they are recommending an interview request. Mine do, and there was a note made in them that shed some light on their perspective, allowing us to prepare to address a small concern they seem to have. I am not sure if they start the background check before the interview or not, but probably since I think it could take a while and I doubt they would bother with an interview first without first having the background check come back clear. Good luck I hope everything goes well for you!

Paris office is sleeepinggggg or what??? No good news here for anyone?

i know someone's who get their PPR 20 days after received the CSQ and someone's are waiting since or more than 3 months ... no matter is the kind of the marriage ( mixed or same origin)

I got document request for Husband on Jan 18 and after replying to them, got another document request on Jan 30th. Still waiting here... But at least I know that they're looking at the file.

Good luck to everyone! :)

I hope so too! My representative said that "there isn't much time left, you're at the end. Maybe another 2 months and you'll get a final decision from Paris". I mean, It's already been 6 months... what's another 2 more to wait? I just want a smooth application process, that's all I'm really asking for.

Yes he is probably right :) If you don't mind me asking, what were the documents that they requested? Have you been able to check ecas and mycic?

Just documents to clarify his activities at a certain point in time. I did check ecas, but I can't check mycic because i have a representative. So, it's back to the waiting game I guess.

Waiting for background checks to be concluded since September 29th, and still no word.
Frustrated. :'(

@theycallmemaha.. if I may ask were you born in Canada? And you re applyling for permanent residence?
