Hello, my parents submitted their visitor visa application a year ago and they're stuck with BG as my dad had previously worked in defense. Now, I will be eligible for the citizenship application in the next couple of months. Question - Will their BG process impact my citizenship application? Do you recommend to withdraw their visitor visa application before i apply for citizenship? Any advice would be much appreciated

Hello all, I know it is repetititve, but pardon me I’m bit anxious and hoping for some clarity regarding my situation.
My parents’ visitor visa applications is still in progress, mainly due to my father’s background in the defense and nuclear sector. While I understand that extended security checks are normal for certain professions, at this point I’m worried as I’m preparing to apply for Canadian citizenship for myself.
Though I currently work for a provincial Crown corporation, I’m wondering whether my parents’ pending applications — particularly my father’s background — could in any way affect my own citizenship application.
I would really appreciate guidance on whether it’s fine to proceed or if there’s anything I should proactively consider. Kindly help.
