Parent's Visitor to USA when Visiting Canada

Hello All

My Dad is visiting us this summer. I was planning to apply for his USA visitor visa from here. But my research says that if you apply for Visitor from other than country you live in. They have high chances of the rejection.

I being only child, my dad do not have anyone in India who can support him there for finishing the USA visa formalities from my own country and he is not good at english.

Does anyone ever tried to apply for the USA visitor visa for their parents within canada though their living country is different? If yes can any one guide on how to process it? what to take care?

I filled out the US visa application for my spouse and submitted it on-line. I then made the appointment for her at the US embassy in Jakarta, forwarded the forms she needed to take with her and explained what she had to do. I did all this from Canada on her behalf while she was in Indonesia. I'd suggest trying the same thing.
