Hey all! Happy New Year!

Want to apply for my parents' super visa and have a couple of questions that I'm hoping I can get answers to here. My father is retired from government and my mother has always been a homemaker. They do not own property but live a comfortable, independent life.

My first question is, where it asks in the application 'Is someone else giving you money for your stay in Canada?', should I select Yes because I'm the one inviting them and I'll be bearing full financial responsibility for them?

Their personal funds won't be enough to cover a long stay - I'd say at max, they'll have CAD 3-5k. Is this an issue given that it's a super visa application and I'll be providing my financial documents to show that I can take care of them?

Lastly, does anyone have any good recommendations for an insurance provider - I'll also need to get one that includes pre-existing conditions.

Would appreciate any help. Thanks!

Yes you need to include your finances but also theirs. 3-5k isn’t a lot given they will also be expected to return home after their visit. Supervisa insurance is just emergency travel medical insurance and is not meant to treat most pre-existing conditions. You will have to plan to pay for care for any preexisting conditions if you can obtain care in Canada. For some conditions this may not be possible or extremely expensive even if care can be obtained. Parents are expected to return home to treat major health issues since they are only visitors.
