Parents TRV August past processing time

Hi folks,

So I applied for my parents TRV on paper from Karachi Pakistan on 23 August for Dec visit

Current processing time for Pakistan applications is 65 days. My parents application has exceeded that time limit and on webform inquiry we received response that my parents application are under certain background investigations.

Can experienced members of this forum tell me what should I do further? We have been waiting for two months and we still haven't received approval or rejection

I have two different questions regarding the application.

1). Will I get email if there is profile update on cic account?

2). My sister had her job switched to another company in Sept. Should I submit webform informing them of her new job? Even though I have only applied for my parents but I had attached my sister employment letter in application as well
