MY INVITATION LETTER FORMAT
Notes:
- This invitation letter format you can use if you are applying from Canada and you are representative of your parents as a family member.
- You must notarize with red seal this letter from a Local Canadian lawyer. That will give a good impact. You and your lawyer both have to sign this letter.
- Avoid using reasons that you want your parents to visit to take care of you during pregnancy or baby seating. It is not a good reason to convince visa officers to provide visas. Better to just simply mention that you wanted to meet your parents.
- You can consider this letter as a reference as I have used it for my case and I got approval that doesn't mean it is applicable for everyone. As everyone has a different scenario so you can modify the content of the letter as per your situation.
- I kept the duration of the trip for just 2 months. Try to keep the duration as short as you can. Avoid mentioning 6 months trip as more months you mention more expense you have to show. And visa officer will calculate your financial situation based on duration. Once you receive a visa no one can stop your parents to stay for 6 months.

SOLEMNLY STATE AND DECLARE AS UNDER :
- That I wish to invite my parents (above said) under the visitor visa program to meet us and spend some quality time with us. They will stay with us in YOUR PROVINCE, Canada and will leave Canada after staying here for a 2 months period. I undertake to send them back to India after a 2 months period.
- That I and my wife will not get a chance to visit our home country due to work and responsibility here in Canada and I have not seen my parents since I moved to Canada in September-2019.
- That I am working full-time at the YOUR COMPANY NAME AND JOB LOCATION as a JOB DESIGNATION and I am earning XX$ per hour.
- My parents are genuine visitors who will not overstay their visas and do not have any plans to settle here in Canada.
- That I agree to provide support to my parents including but not limited to lodging, food, care, travel expenses within Canada and maintenance including medical, hospitalization for the whole duration of their stay in Canada.
- They will not become a public charge in Canada or will not be a burden to the government of Canada or the PROVINCE NAME by any means.
- I also undertake to repatriate them at our cost, if and when necessary and to bear all the cost and expenses of burial in the event of their death in this country.
- That I make this affidavit in support of an application for issuance of a visitor visa to my parents and for no other improper purpose.
And I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing it to be true and knowing that it is of the same effect as if made under oath. I respectfully request that you grant a visitor’s visa to my parents.
