Hello Everyone,
My parents in law sponsorship was approved and the "Date of recieved" is May 2019.
On Oct 2020 we received a letter for "Invitation to Pre-Arrival services", later another letter came to our home which is "Passport Request"
So far pretty good! but after few months of keeping their passport, they sent back all the documents with a letter saying they will contact us back... Long story short, since early 2021 we received nothing else from them! no updates!!
3 months ago, application status is changed to "Decision Made" but we are still waiting to get information.
Nobody answers over the phone, we contacted our local MP to get some help and information, but they say application is in process for "Background Check"
I don't understand if "Decision is Made" why still stuck in background check! and if they are still doing background check, why they sent us a letter for passport request?
This is very confusing and frankly affecting our life since our in-laws are living in Canada under supervisa and they can not proceed in their life waiting for some people in IRCC office for making a decision over their permanent residence application.
It is sad to see a couple over 65 years old that they live a complete harmless life should wait so long in the name of "Background Check"
Yet so many criminals are landing easily as a permanent resident in Canada! (lets name one which most people know, Mr. Mahmoud Reza Khavari)
Did anyone had similar experience? how can we overcome this problem?
