Transferred to correct visa office April 2013
2nd application and medicals etc. sent June 2013
Started Processing Dec 19, 2013
Decision made either Jan 13 or 14, 2014

Parents + 2 siblings, New Dehli.

I guess visa/passport should be arriving in a few days...?

Hi Guys,

Great news here regarding my parents sponsorship case that I filed in 2009, Islamabad has sent the attached PHEP letter asking to submit passports with a note saying "your immigrant visa appears ready for issuance"
Is there a way we can send them the passports without my parents having to visit Pakistan (parents are in Canada on supervisa)? or can we ask someone going to Pakistan to take the passports and courier it to CHC Islamabad and then send it back to us when the visas are stamped?

Because they are saying in the letter "our office cannot send passports overseas, you must provide an address in Pakistan to where a courier company can deliver" also they are saying "Do not send passports through international courier if you are not currently in Pakistan"

What are your timelines and did they ask for finger prints and other details since your parents are in Canada.

Hello members Exactly 3 months completed since medical has expired no news from embassy any body has similar times frame
october medical exxpired and now its januaryy ,, inlaw has got remedical any body else still waititing

it seems folks who got meds done in march-june(or remeds) are getting visas..

Just go to MP office and tell him about your problem or any update you want on your case....
MP's assistant will send a mail to LVO and within week you will get reply...

Do you know any number where they would answer calls on. Because when I called the female said we do not answer calls on immigration purposes and in an emergency asked me to email their emergency email address from whom I have not heard for 2 weeks now.. :-\ I am so depressed now I really need my passport..

Folks I had a question regarding filling out the forms:

My parents received the medical request via email from CHC New Delhi. They have also asked us to fill out some of the forms-

IMM008 - Generic Application form for permanent residence

Now does this form need to be filled out by only my mother (the PRINCIPAL APPLICANT) or also by my father.

Also would my father be classified as a "principal applicant" or as a "dependent" to my mother for the purposes of this application. I am trying to understand this as the checklist is asking for educational documents for dependents over 22 years of age but I think this is more applicable to adult son/daughter as opposed to the spouse.
