please help filling Imm0008 for parents,

Have you received your Certificat de Sélection du Québec (CSQ)?
what should I write here, nothing to do with quebec.

National identity card?
what is that for indian citizen?

thanks

Are you filling it on a computer? If so, when you select where the applicant would stay in Canada, the field Certificate de selection... becomes blank if you select a province other than Quebec.

If you are an Indian Citizen, you could leave this field blank

Do you have anything that you can use as a picture ID? I think drivers license can work for sure or ID card that substitutes it...or any picture ID but passport.

Hey guys, I have been following this forum for a while and now finally decided to join.
Here is my timeline
Applied - April 2010 (with dependents under 22)
Doc request - August 7, 2013
Doc requested IMM0008, IMM0008DEP, IMM5669, IMM5406, IMM5476, option C printout for years 2009 and 2010.

For some reasons I am not able to download/open applications IMM0008, IMM0008DEP on any of my computers. Would like to know if any of 2010 applicants having this issue.

Thanks in advance for the replies.

hi amy I am still waiting for dna call from delhi office.but I read today at cic site , they are saying dna sample can be at doctors pannal.please read this

Notice – DNA Sample Collection Pilot Project

May 17, 2013 — Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) launched a pilot project in India (outside of New Delhi only) to assess using the Panel Physicians network to take DNA samples, when required. DNA samples are sometimes used to establish a genetic link between parent and child for citizenship proof applications for children born through surrogacy. Panel Physicians are the same doctors currently authorized to conduct immigration medical examinations for CIC.

After the six-month pilot, CIC will assess the feasibility of using Panel Physicians to do DNA testing for citizenship proof applications for persons born in other countries
What does it mean that we can go to Panel Physicians in india and get it done on our own?

When CIC required DNA samples, it had to be done in NDVO, now they are saying that Panel Physicians are authorized to do it too. This is only for those who are asked for DNA samples, not a regular process

Here is 2010 applicants in action now. I didn't have any trouble downloading the forms. Try restarting your PC or try different browser.

Here is my time line:

Applied in March 2010
Docs request August 2013

Waiting for option - c print outs from ccra. It's optional to submitt national ID. If your parents have Adhaar card you can submit as national ID

Anybody submitting parents birth certificates? Though the checklist didn't mentioned to submitt parents birth certificates.

Lets update our status and keep posting as we go with our processing. :)

Birth certificates are required for blood relation proof. but Is it gonna be parents birth certificate or ours to show our relation to parents?

Also anybody thinking of doing upfront police clearance. It is recommended in checklist to avoid delays.

Your Birth Certificate, with parents name and their marriage certificate or affidavit
You can do PCC, but depends where your file goes, not sure CPP-O can handle more but if it goes to New Delhi then "Good Luck" and the amount of time it takes, you will be asked for PCC again

Mandatory Docs:
Sponsors birth certificate which shows parents name or sponso rmust show that he took all efforts for obtaining birth certificate in the form of non-availability certificate plus affidavit.

Parents marriage certificate or Parents must show that they done all efforts for obtaining marriage certificate in the form of non-availability certificate plus affidavit.

if the above two documents missing then it will be most likely your application will send back to you.

PCC is tricky if you think that your application will finalize in 6-12 months (ottawa) ;D then you can start obtaining. I prefer to obtaining directly from SP/Commisioner offices rather passport seva kendra. and if you file gets transfer to Newdelhi. ???... No one knows!!!!!!

Good Luck for everyone.

The 2010's can ask us, we've been through these questions before and the site doesn't have good search feature so it's impossible to search back the pages

To avoid delays,
Proof of Sponsor to Parent: What I sent
Birth Certificate ( mine was torn, hand written )
Passport copies showing their name as parent
Parents Marriage Certificate ( Make sure to get affidavit if you don't have this )
Parents Passport pages showing husband.wife
School leaving Certificates showing fathers name ( mostly )

As for Dependant ( File will goto NDVO ) : Same as above but then sometimes, if thats not enough they ask for DNA Sample ( rarely but they do )

Get PCC , but be prepared to do it again

My best advice, if you can get your folks over to Canada on Supervisa ( which will give them 2 year stay ), then fill the forms asking for Canadian Visa office and it will most probably goto CPP-O ( the different between CPP-O and Local VO is simply Heaven vs Hell )
The above will delay the app sending part but better chance to make it to CPP-O

The above is if CPP-O is still taking them and past experience

The letter Cpc sent us mentioned " It is important to note that you must NOT complete the visa office specific instructions" what does it mean? Can we fill the field " immigration office requested for processing" if yes what you guys filling that field with ... Ottawa or local vo? I am sponsoring my parents with no dependents.
