file transfer to lvo : October 2012
medical request :april 2013
medical sent : 25 april 2013
passport request : 22nd june 2013
passport sent: 25th june 2013
passport received : 4th july 2013

Congrats Arsalan...That was very quick processing on the last phase, very happy and encouraging for all of us.

Do you have any dependants on the case or was it only for your parents? I have smiliar timelines as yours

There was no file number on the passport request but medical validility was written on it.We were glad we are done with medical stage but now I am very upset.Could that be the reason for delaying?
Since then we are waiting for our passports to be back.I personally knew few people who got Passport request later and already got the visas.
What you think is going on.Should I really worry.

Nothing to worry about...only few ppl got faster processing, rest of us are on the slow boat....

Problem is embassy is not returning the passports and not updating the ecas with meds receieved.I cant find any case like me.Everyone says they have meds received and later get Passport request.Whereas everything is opposite in my case.

my parents is coming this week with my passport ...i will do flagpole when they arrive here ...but you can not do flagpole before your parents....principal applicant must land before other family members or together with all members.

ok thanks... just let me know what u do after u received ur passport... it would be great as i am also in the same situation....so it means CHC new delhi doesn't say anything if a person is in canada while they are issuing us visa???...

Congratulations everyone who got their passport back with visa. They changed the time tine today now it's 45 months. So hopefully next month they are gonna start a new batch.

My parents passport expires on august 5th, we received call from new delhi high commission on may 23rd and informed that their visa has been approved and passport will be mailed soon and advised us to leave india before august 5th and confirmed our mailing address, but until now we haven't received our passport nor did heard anything from new delhi. Tried to contact via phone, fax and email but no response. e-cas status shows in process.
Any idea what's taking them so long.

You need to call Delhi and demand to speak to immigration, tell them this is urgent and they called you ( which is very surprising as never seen a case where they inform user that file is done ) but on other hand your status indicated that its not over yet
Apart from calling, need to send email with URGENT as subject and keep emailing them once every 2 days

how long after medical, pcc and passport request do pos stamp visa do they have a certain time frame to keep ur passport also is background check done before or after medical request

Depends on the office, its ND - then no limit

Look at timeline in my sig, its perfectly normal to wait this long with ND, email GCMS to see if they forgot to do your file
