Hi a2008

Can you please tell when you applied for your parents?

Hi Cool_5, we submitted initial application in beginning of 2008, in Jun 2008 we got letter from CPC-Mississauga saying that they revived our application. Then in Dec 2013 we got another letter form CPC-Mississauga saying that they started processing of our application and requested re-submit tax forms proving our finical situation for 2008 and to fill in immigration application forms for parents and pay permanent residence fee if I want. I did pay because letter was clearly saying that processing will be faster if fee is paid. They also advised start requesting police certificates. Then in April 2013 we got another letter from CPC-Mississauga saying that we were approved as sponsors and our case was forwarded to CPC-Kiev (Ukraine) for processing. On April 25, 2013 I received email from CPC-Moscow (Russia) asking to resend Schedule A Background Declaration. I realized I did a typo there and there was a gap in section 8 (Personal history). They gave me 30 days to provide form. I sent the forms right away and have not heard form them since then. Not sure why our case ended up in Moscow, but my guess is that my wife's mother has Ukrainian Citizenship but she was born in Russia. I believe CPC-Kiev forwarded our case to CPC-Moscow because of that.

2 weeks ago I decided to ask my MP to make am inquire about our case, but all he told me that yes we were approved as sponsors but it could take another 53 month to get visas for my parents, which is pretty much that CIC website saying in processing times. However, I can see most people here who submitted application in New Delhi normally get their application processed in 18 month since file transfer, even though CPC processing time is 56 month for New Delhi. So I am confused, not sure how they measure that time. Now I am going to order GCMS to see what is going on there.

P.S. Our parents have been living with us in Canada since Feb 2007. They had worker status for 2 years and the rest of time we were able to keep extending their status as visitors. Now they got a visitor status extension until 2015.

parents are doing medicals by end of this month, through MP we found out that eligibility and BG checks are finished.
hopefully soon results will be sent to the lvo.

best of luck to everyone....

accompanying dependants 22 years of age and above at the time of sponsorship.

What does it means "the time of sponsorship"?
... is the time when CPC-M got PR Application file

The ages of dependents are "locked-in" at the time CIC-M received the sponsorship application (from the sponsor).
As long as dependent does not get married or enter into a relationship(such as common law), they should be ok.

Some visa offices (or some officers) are more picky on this than some of the others.

Hi,

My e cas status had a line added. to Medicals Received about 3 weeks ago.

Now the status changed from Application Received to In Process and a new line " We started processing your application on XXXX date" is added.

How long do you think the process from here would take. I ordered GCMS notes in February and the due date on eligibility is 03- June.

Also my police clearance expied in April (it was from April 2012.) If they wanted new police clearance, do you think they might have requested by now ?

I havent received any request for police clearance but my parents got my old passports back through regular mail.

Do you guys think ND will ask for a new police clearance now?

Hi 5yearswaiting,

I think I am in the same boat. Could you please include your timelines. It will be helpful to many of us. Thanks.

Can you explain the last 2 part? you parents received old passport?

The status goes to IN_PROCESS ( normally ) when they need more docs and if they sent passport back, it could be that they need newer PCC - better to order GCMS and see
They are quite inconsistent on how they request it

2 months ago, I read in my GCMS that "sent passport to get FBI clearance" in the notes with a comment "Entered in Error".
I emailed them saying I mailed the clearance, I don't need passport but have you sent it? since your notes say it and if not, they don't send as I don't need it
Ignorant idiots assume I am asking for passports and they send the whole bundle to our India address, only to have it mailed back to them THUS extending my due date for no reason

Hi User,

I submitted my old indian passports along with all the documents. They sent those passports back. They did not send any other documents back.

I have included the following originals with my application

1) my canadian citizenship card
2) my old Indian passports
3) my birth ceritifcate
4) my marriage certificate
4) my parents and my brother's birth certificates.
5) my parent's passports
6) My parent's marriage certificate

all the original documents are lying with them since Jan 8th 2012 (its when I posted the application).

The ND office sent my old Indian passports back and nothing else.

I do not think the originals of the above 2 documents are required/requested by ND VO. Hence they must have returned it (your old passport).

Wasn't your case lil complicated with mother application issue + dependent. Due date is like BFD ( Bring Forward Date ) - term used in older CAIPS system. So it could be that May 3 , they opened the file and then changed the date as they are waiting on other factors like Eligibility, Criminality, Security ( or the dependants issue - if that's the case ), it doesn't necessarily mean they have asked something but could be simply waiting for other processes.
Best is order GCMS again but even then we really don't see the entire picture
Thanks user, I knw It has been complicated without any real issues. Well, on notes eligibility passed updated on April 3rd but criminality still shows not started. As well for my sis they have recommend to delegate her frm current case as per written notes on gcms.....so I guess they haven't checked the letter I send abt my mother because rest in the notes seems okay, I mean it says that eligibility met n further processing to start once clarification on my moms sponsorship is received which of course has been send by me n it's been over 2 months now.....I hope all goes well because I am tired of this wait now

Sonu 86 we are in same situation with my brother .please post decision when you hear from delhi.

You mean ur brother was also above 22 at time of sponsorship? I will post the decision but as per gcms notes its not positive.....well, I know at least 5 cases in which dependents over 22 got deleted from the files with some reason....n it started happening after they announce their so called faster processing. My very close relative who was 24 at time of sponsorship n was applied in early 2007, came here In end of 2011 with no issues, was almost 29 at time of receiving visa, completed 3 MAs with different subjects then some computer stuff.....I think it is just our bad luck

hello frnds..recvd an e-mail from delhi regarding file reached at delhi. now my question is that this
mail is an AOR nd now we recv medical reqst? plz reply
