hi

my status shows "Application recieved" but once clicked it has new sentence says "Medical results have been recieved". My understanding was they change the main status to "Medical Results Recieved", none the less it is good progress. Medicals were done on March 27th.
"Meds Received" usually means that medicals have been passed. So it is good progress indeed. Based on which LVO, it takes about a month or so to get a decision on the file after the medical status has been updated.

Good for you! My mom's application is stuck on 2 points. Last month LVO asked for a PCC from Bahrain because of her frequent trips there (the last was ten years ago!), we had anticipated that and applied for it 4 months ago, its still pending :( In response to LVO's letter, we had mentioned the same and also provided an affidavit in lieu of the PCC. Secondly, on her medicals, they have noted that its deferred for "public health" for 15 weeks (which becomes due on June). So I do not expect to get the status updated to "meds received" any time soon. Thinking of getting a physical copy of the file to go through it in detail. But would wait until month end to see if they have noted anything regarding the PCC.
Bahrain takes that long for PCC, vow - so basically its not necessary that they require PCC from a particular country ONLY if you have lived there for more than 6 months in 1 visit, it can be due to frequent visits too
Can you explain about the health part and deferred for 15 weeks
I wish you good luck as this looks like a long game of patience

Why are they taking to long to Decision made? Getting stressed, i am only one left from june 2008 on Parent spreadsheet. Scared now and please can anyone tell average days of getting visa? Pcc is going to exprire in 2 months if it is valid for 6 months.
Don't mean to discourage you, but I applied for parents in Oct 2007 and no dependents. Still waiting. There have been no hiccups either e.g. re-taking medicals, asking PCC from other places etc. Worst part in terms of anxiety is that the ECAS status shows "Decision Made" for last 3 months. I have ordered GCMS end of March, still waiting on that.

PCC - I've come across cases where 2 visits with short gaps in between are treated as one long trip by CIC.
Health - The notes on GCMS notes states "Furthered for public health - 15 weeks" and the "Due Date" in the medical's section states June 26th (that is exactly 15 weeks from the "letter" (IMM5616?) they sent - I guess it was sent to the PP directly - we did not receive anything. Apart from my mom's age (she's 80+), there is nothing wrong with her health. She has diabetes, but takes tablets, not insulin (so that should not be a concern).

yeah - its a long waiting game.

That's really odd. They asked for medicals before the eligibility? During the "eligibility" process, they confirm all the docs you had sent and determine if the relationship to the sponsor is valid and/or if an interview is required. In my case, the eligibility is passed while medicals is under review.

Strange are the ways of CIC...

I know seemed weird to me too. thought the GCMS would help but other than knowing that medical has been passed, didnt give any other information.

There was another user, I think "jatt" or somebody, and he had his PP with ND LVO for 9 months, called for GCMS and he saw the same as you but within a month he got it

Did your address change to Canadian as well? since almost everyone with decision made has Canadian address ( in short )

Well, there you go - my father had 3 trips to US in 1 year and went every year from 82-94, it was too obvious that they will ask - but their own rule says only 6 months or more in 1 trip.
I mean why not be more specific so we can save time

sorry to hear that. How old were your siblings when you applied?
