It is important that you know that Visa officers are independent decision makers whose determination must be in accordance with the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and Regulations. Members of Parliament and other Canadian government officials do not have the authority to make decisions on applications or to give directions to visa officers with respect to individual decisions.

INFORMATION FROM THE M.P. CONTACT'S OFFICE:
· Jan 23, 2013: positive selection decision made;

· Jan 28, 2013: medicals received by email, but the results are still pending;

· Feb 22, 2013: CIC plans to review the file, but it is highly unlikely that the medicals will have been assessed by then. Sometime after this date, CIC will initiate the background checks.

LOL....smodhera!!! u question actually made me laugh i wish there was a way to forecast/predict CIC's next move we wudnt hv been waiting for sooooooooo longggggggggggggg if we cud knw wht is coming up next n if someone on the form is able to answer the above questions please do it for my file as well. i will highly appreciate tht...as waiting is getting on my nerves now..i feel like exploding

please tell about FBI fingerprints,is this something new, recently my mother renewed her Indian passport so she already get her fingerprints there, so she going to happen again and another question also what is this fingerprints for is it new, my mother have had an travel history to canada she lived with as 2.5 years by extending visa, so she also has go through all this again and waiting.......
please reply me any of you.

cic does ask for fingerprints from someone who has lived in canada for more than 6 months but not from everyone who has lived here. so, if ur mom wud be the one to be asked for fingerprints; nobody knows.

Just got email from LVO asking for new police certificate since the one we submitted has expired.
Meds are done. Does anybody have experience with how long it may take them to issue visa after they received a valid police certificate? I am concerned that by the time that is done, the Meds will have expired...

You know years ago, we had a friends relative working in New Delhi Embassy. In those days, Visa Officer used to come to Mumbia and do interview at Taj Mahal hotel, so she actually referred my folks to the officer who gave them their 1st 5 years multiple w/o any paperwork
I think she is retired now, wish she was around now

No worries Waiting.... It was my frustration too... but your case will find a way soon as it is almost a year.... I hope CIC doesn't come up with something else now... The Medical Dr. clearly stated my mother that everything is clear in your case..... I hope our wait come to an end soon...... Again, no worries about anything.....

Should we get ready for DNA test or Finger print???? Can we get it done in advance??? any suggestions guys....

In my experience so far, wait for their next instructions - I did things beforehand and doing them again The least we bother them, the faster things happen

LVO in North America as my mother had visitor record that was valid for more than 1 year and they granted
Seattle as LVO to us. So all of our processing was from Seattle which was LVO for us...not from CPP-O as

my ecas up n running ...no problem n no updates last time something was added to ecas was in may 2012. nthng after tht

ecas has been completly down since last 2-3 days. & like everyone else active file was not visible, but now all are down.

Can we change country for medical examination? As my mother travel to Canada, can she do medical here than in her home country.
