I have a good news to share. I got an email from Ottawa Pilot today requesting the passports for my parents. Our LVO is New Delhi and we have been asked to send the passports to New Delhi visa office.

Congratulations mohalite... one more down.... meaning, one more case for CPP-O officers to NOT look at..... it increases chances for pending files to be seen......

thats good to know. thanks for the reply. Now well just have to wait and see when the hold is lifted and if they make any drastic changes to dependents.

@ Sakamath- yeah thats true. i agree with you on the dependent thing, they are young and can become part of the economy and community etc. Especially if there whole family is in Canada, it wouldnt make sense for them to not be here aswell. but we will wait and see what happens with the dependent part.

As far as I know, as long as you are a student and living with parents, above 18 too, you are considered dependant

I found on the cic website, its up to 22 years old. but if u apply when ur 22 and dependent. as long as u stay dependent throughout the process you will still be approved.
