Hi Parkbr,

I am also from South Korea. Nice to see someone sponsoring from the same country.
It is also great to see that your file is moving fast. Just one quick question.. You have received your parent's PPR??

Happy Halloween!

Hi again..

I just realized that my ecas status changed to in progress and the same thing as you. Ser below

We received your application for permanent residence on November 26, 2008.

We started processing your application on October 26, 2012.

Medical results have been received.

I hope to get PPR soon as well.. (assume that your PPR request was for you parents).

Can you also share little bit more about where the medical exam was done.
I also wonder where you are requsted to submit your passport to.

Thanks again

Hello guys,
here is me with the same question asI am totally confused.

According to the posts I can read here you are confirming that CIC is looking at gross income to evaluate if a sponsor meets requirements, but at the same time I cannot find the proof to this anywhere on their site.
According to the following link
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/5196ETOC.asp#table3
they say: "Sponsors (guarantors) are presumed to be able to satisfy their undertaking if in the last 12 months they have had gross income from Canadian sources equal to the SUM of the amount shown in Table 1 and the amount in Table 2 below. These amounts are indexed each year."
but Table 1 and Table 2 are Quebec Income Scale!

Could you please guide and help me to find the link where they do say about the gross income evaluation for people who live in Ontario.

Thank you so very much in advance.

Agree with Shuga.
Both files are with CPP-O (mine and yesottawa's.)
I am not sure if your home country makes difference, though.

thank you for your reply. the income they look at Option C is not good for us, as we have much higher income from farmig and we are applying as self-employed - T4 does not work for us either.
we are trying to contact our accountant for any ideas he might have.
Hi Suin - What is your accountant's advise on the income query/question you have? If you are self-employed and claim expenses, then subtract those expenses from your gross income to get Net Income. Therefore, for self-employed people, Net income is to be used for LICO eligibility. In case of a salaried employee, gross income is net income because that salaried employee cannot claim any expenses.

You can get Gross/total income, from Line 150 of Notice of Assessement (that you get after filing taxes) for a particular tax year. And line 236 is your Net Income after deductions. If you are confused with respect to income, I would highly recommend you to take advise from an accountant.

agree... i think what you need to use for evaluation is line 150 from tax return... it is Total income... Total income is calaulated as:
Total Income = Employment income + child care benefits + Net rental + Net self-employment income

Thank you for your advice, guys.
Our gross income is three times higher than the income mentioned in the line 150 of the Option C, and if they go by the Option C 150 line, it means that we do not meet the LICO. :(
Though according to our food and clothes expenses during the year, we definitely spend much more for our family needs than it is mentioned in line 150.....
