Your parents would do the landing in Canada by exiting Canada and re-entering. If they have US visa they can go to USA and come back same day. Otherwise, they need to do go to US border and tell them you arrived for Canada landing and they will issue you a refusal letter. Take that letter, passport and COPR back to Canada border and do landing. Once that is completed, PR card would arrive by mail in few weeks. you may check the processing time on CIC website. You do not need to apply for PR card separately for new immigrants.

I heard that in this case the parent will land in Canada, not leaving the country, in the closest cic office.

I have to ask, how did you get your medicals off within 5 days? I have just had my mum's done in Mississauga (medical request received 6th September, Medical with x-rays done 10th September). I phone the doctors today, and receptionist said it will take 4 weeks before they are sent off!!

My parents did medicals in India. They went through all tests in one day. DMP sent the results over courier the next day. As per courier tracking number, I see the medicals delivered in 5 days.

the medical comes from where your file is... if the file is in Ottawa - then medical request comes from CPP-O... if the file is in local visa office - then medical request comes from LVO...

Final stage done. Online status now shows "Decision Made" for the second part. Excited and happy. On just a side note, my Mother -in - Law also got Visitor Visa in 3 Days. So double celebration.

i am thinking that the parents file with no dependent will get medical from new delhi in coming days either by e-mail or mail.i am quite shore about it bcoz i done some researher work on file i saw that there are only 141 person application recieved between 1 jan 2012 -8 april 2012 in ND-LVO.SO ALL THOSE ARE GETTING LETTER FOR MEDICALS.I JUST SAW ON OTHER FORUM THE MEMBER GANKU GOT MEDICAL TODAY BY E-MAIL SAME LIKE ANIK ON THIS FORUM SO KEEP CHECK YOUR E-MAIL.
