Hello,
I applied for my parents sponsorhip in Oct 2009
I received the Sponsorship approval letter and my file was transferred to CPP Ottawa on July 19th 2012

I have not received any communication since then..
What will be the next communication...
Can the experts guess when can i expect a request for medical

Experts !!!! :P none here, but from my experience

Medical Request between 1 -2 months. Its still too early for anything for you. The medical request are now being delayed don't know why. Also did you provide an email address in the application form? Because the medical request for me came in an email.

Yes i provided the same email when i initially applied in 2009 and all forms since then. I still get everything by snail mail.

Hello everyone,

I was wondering whether someone knows how long it takes to receive the letter/email from CIC after the E-Cas shows "Decision Made"?
Since August 4th I see "Decision Made" on my mother's E-Cas but I haven't received any communication from CIC. My mother's application is with CPP-Ottawa.
It would be very helpful to know how long it took for other people to receive the letter or email from CIC after reaching the stage "Decision Made". Does anyone know this - maybe from similar cases in June or July?

Thanks a lot!

Though I am not one of the lucky ones (yet), congratulations on the Decision Made status on your Mother's PR application. The letter would be sent to the Mailing address you/your mom had provided on the IMM0008 form when you had submitted the application. If it's your mother's home address, it would take longer to reach. If you were the representative, then you should have received a letter by now - if you still haven't received it, you can send an email to Ottawa to see where they mailed the letter.

What is ordering GCMS notes. I am not aware of it. My parents had their medical exam done on January 3rd 2012 and I paid the landing fee on March 20th 2012... since May 2012 the ecase status showing "Application received", "Medical result received". Do we have to order GCMS notes for further processing.... Please reply as I'm tensed now......

You can order GCMS notes under 'Act for Access to information' http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/requests-atip.asp . This is not mandatory and the report will provide you with details of your parents case and its status. I am not sure how long it takes for the e-case status to change to 'in-process' after the medicals are received. I think its 3-4 months and after that another 3-4 months perhaps for decision made. Please see the google spreadhsheet where everyone from this forum has updated their timelines to have a better idea.

Did u click on decision made...it tells u if a letter was sent n when was sent to u....As after my e-cas was changed to "decision made", it told me that a letter about the decision on ur application has been sent to u on....date....hwever, i never received the letter and i had to call CIC after the waiting period of 3 weeks as they will not give any info before that. Finally they told me that my application has been aproved and sent to LVO i.e ND but still never got the letter....guess it might got misplaced somewhere....

You are talking about PR decision, not sponsorship, right?

Same for me, It changed to decision made on Aug 04,but still have not received it. Also it does not say when the letter was send, it just say " immigration will contact you re decision" .

Thanks a lot for your replies!

Just to clarify: the "Decision Made" refers to my mother's application. My sponsorship application was approved in January 2012, then my mother was asked to take the medical exam (which she did in February 2012) and since March 2012 the E-cas for my mother was "In process" (with extra information that "Medicals were received" and "Application is in process since ..."). Then on August 4th I saw that there is "Decision Made" on my mother's application and the only information given was "Our office will contact you concerning this decision" but no information was given whether a letter or an email would be sent (or has been sent). I emailed CPP-Ottawa twice since August 4th but I've only received the automatic reply that they send to all emails. Please note that in April I did receive several responses from CPP-Ottawa by email when I updated the address for my mother and also when I inquired (by email) about the status of her file (they replied that "The file is complete and once an officer will finish reviewing the case, they will contact you if they require any additional information" and then there was nothing new until I've seen "Decision Made" on E-Cas).

From reading your very nice forum I noted that (at least) two other people are in the same stage as I am: the users Mockava and Northclare - I guess they also didn't receive anything yet from CIC?

Yes that is right, we have same days for decision made, and same update format on ECas. Still no letter, still nobody contacted neither me(I am a representative) nor my mother in law re decision made.

Correct, thats why i was expecting a letter sooner... as our case is in the CPC Pilot in Ottawa...
Anyway the wait continues...
