Ottawa seems slowed down a lot. But nothing to worry, it will pick up the pace again. Lots of people who got medicals done around April/May are in the same situation.

Summer is known as being slow time for application processing as many immigration officers taking their vacations.

Keep CALM and carry ON guys :)

Thank you for your reply. Just one more question - does you mom have a multiple entry visa or she is visa exempt?

Not quite true po. There are quite a few medical cases that were rejected. Some of them are from the Philippines. This thread, po, is for everyone coming from all around the world. Most of us here will have trouble understanding TAGALOG. The other thread you are following is specific to Manila visa office.

About the enlarged heart case, we have one member here who had similar case and he/she already posted what the parent did to complete the medical. It was not that worst po.

Moraine, do you personally know of someone who was/were rejected ? Because I know of one who was suspected of colon cancer... had an operation and was carrying ( I don't know the medical term) clolostomy bag when he went for medical. He was told to come back after a year and right now he is with his son in Canada. It is so hard to understand how CIC evaluates this medical thing. But it would be helpful if someone who has personal knowledge of someone who had been denied because of medical reason can post it here.

Yes, I do know. Cancer is not contagious, po. There are quite a few cancer organizations here which are funded by generous rich people, not only by the tax payers.

My family and I thought that there will be another 3 YEARS of waiting for the STEP 2 to be finalized. Truly glad and rather grateful waiting in line comtemplating many many GOOD things rather than the bad ones. Believing and holding on to faith in "ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE"

Oh no! I see London LVO has gone up from 21 months to 38 months for stage 2. I thought I might get notification to go for my medical in the next month or so ( case passed to London on 16/5/2012) but that doesn't look hopeful now >:(

my file (with dependents) was transferred to ND in April 2012, still haven't hear anything. :( No AOR, no medical request, no PCC request, nothing.
